Bill Anders Thanks the Apollo Program

March 16, 2009

On December 11th, 2008, the crew of Apollo 8 and other NASA astronauts and alumni visited the museum to celebrate Apollo 8’s 40th anniversary. For those of you who could not attend, or who wish to relive the evening, we plan to post the evening events as separate videos over the next month. This final post shows the remarks made by Bill Anders at the end of the evening. Enjoy!

Bill Anders, Apollo 8 astronaut, has been a good friend of the museum for years. He approached us to put on the great Apollo 8 40th Anniversary event. The video below is Bill Anders thanking all those who helped not only on Apollo 8, but on the entire Apollo program. At the end of the video, see how many astronauts you can count and name (please turn up your volume, the audio is quite low until the end).

Watch other videos from the Apollo 8 4oth Anniversary: Glynn Lunney, Moderated Forum Part 1Part 2, Part 3 & Part 4, and Neil Armstrong.
