Aero in SD – Disney in Space

December 11, 2009

This is an aerospace themed event happening in San Diego. SDASM has no involvement. Any questions about the event should be directed to the event hosts.

Tomorrow, 12 December 2009, the San Diego Space Society will present a talk by John Sisson that explores the role of Walt Disney in space travel during the 1950’s and how he helped to ignite the flame of imagination and showed how the idea of going into space, to the Moon, and even to Mars, were not things of a far off future, but something that could be accomplished in our lifetimes. The presentation will be at the Serra Mesa Branch Library (map), 9005 Aero Dr, San Diego, CA, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
